Foreign Firm Cuts $800,000 Deal on Property Taxes

ORLANDO-Indra Systemas SA, the largest computer services company in Spain, has cut an $800,000 deal with the state and Orange County to add 160 employees to its existing staff of 34 over the next six years at an average annual salary of $61,000. Florida will contribute $640,000; Orange, $160,000. The money is a reimbursement of paid property taxes.

The company is expected to be looking shortly for new office space in the high-tech corridor near the University of Central Florida in east Orange County. Madrid-based Indra currently leases an estimated 15,000 sf at 3251 Progress Drive, just off Research Parkway near the Central Florida Research Park, area brokers working the university submarket tell GlobeSt.com on condition of anonymity.
