The site, about 2.5 miles from the Central Business District, includes a light rail stop. It is the largest infill site in Denver that close to Downtown.

Randall Clark, managing director of Cherokee Investment Partners, which bought the land in December, says that it is a coup to land Moyski.

''It's not often you can find someone of Steve's integrity, ability, experience and reputation,'' Clark tells GlobeSt.com. ''We think this is a great opportunity for him and for us.''

Moyski, who has spent his entire working career at Trammell Crow, says that he wouldn't have left Crow for just any job. Of all the developments underway or on the drawing board in the Denver metro area, he says he thinks the Gates Rubber site is the most exciting.

During his 15-year tenure at Crow, Moyski completed more than $300 million in acquisitions, sales, developments and loans.
