Memphis-based EPR Enterprises LLC received the green light this week from the DeSoto County planning commission to have the former Presley property rezoned to planned unit develolpment status, according to a prepared statement from EPR. The name of the new resort is the Elvis Presley Ranch. The planned project is 15 minutes from Graceland, the singer's landmark Memphis shrine.

Besides luxury condominiums built along two champion golf courses, EPR Enterprises plans to have a hotel and convention center, a 53,000-sf replica of Elvis' dream house, a museum, retail center, restaurants, honeymoon cottages, concert auditorium, family entertainment center and a wedding chapel.
