Cathy Minnerly, senior vice president and manager at NAI Hunneman and Jim Grady, vicepresident at Hunneman, represented both the landlord, locally based Atlantic Power, and Midas Vision Systems, Inc.
The direct lease space is located near Routes 95 and 495. In a released statement, Minnerly says that Midas needed that additional space that this office provided due to its growth.
This area, which is located about 25 miles south of Boston, experienced a steep increase in vacancy rates over the past year. According to statistics compiled by Spaulding & Slye Colliers International, the Route 495/South area had 11% vacancy for the fourth quarter of 2001 as compared with .5% vacancy for the same period the year before. The availability rate jumped from 1.3% in the fourth quarter of 2000 to 15.5% in the fourth quarter of last year.
