Dan Cordeau of Spaulding & Slye represented MediSense in this lease transaction. David Provost served as Boston Properties in-house leasing representative. In a released statement, Provost says, "This lease reflects the desirability of our office campus in Bedford and the strength within the pharmaceutical and biotech market segments."

Demand for biotech space has increased in this area as the industry remains relatively safe from the high tech fallout. While Cambridge remains the center for the biotech and pharmaceutical industries on the east coast, its low vacancy rates for biotech space have pushed a number of companies to move out to the Greater Boston suburbs where appropriate facilities are being renovated for biotech use and the prices are cheaper.
