"There is a surplus of talented people in the Round Rock area that prefer to work closer to home in order to avoid the commute into Austin," Lynn Bennett, Streamline's president, said. The company also is closer to clients such as Dell Computer Corp. Streamline moves from a building near the intersection of Interstate 35 and US Highway 183.
Bennett added Chandler Creek offers more room when Streamline is ready to grow.
There's another 16,008 sf in the building in which Streamline is setting up shop. The business park also has three other buildings with no tenants. The four buildings in the 132-acre development, a project of Burke Real Estate Group, total 163,000 sf. There also are another 135 acres that can be developed.
Jerry Heare and Casey Borgers, industrial specialists with NAI/Commercial Industrial Properties Co., represented the building owner. Mike Parker of Parker Realty brokered the deal for Streamline.
