Build-out of the space will begin in April. The lease will begin in August 2002 and run through the end of 2005. Other terms were not disclosed.
The lease signals the completion of the two-year construction project in April. While fivetelecommunications tenants now occupy about 80,000 sf in the project, the owners are seeking retail and office tenants for the remaining 360,000 sf. Up to 36,000 sf per floor is available, according to Eugene Rerat, director of development for FRM Associates.
Marquette Plaza is the old headquarters of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, the above-ground portion of which has been nearly doubled in size. The original building, which was constructed in 1972, is located at 250 Marquette Ave.
