The lone Oregon store on the list is a Big Kmart located at 850 Southgate in the northeastern Oregon city of Pendleton. Kmart operates more than 16 statewide. In neighboring Washington, six locations are being closed, all Big Kmarts.
Kmart, which filed for bankruptcy in January, has said is will start closing stores in August. It's unclear if more store closings will follow. Analysts initially predicted the company would close as many as 500 to 700 out of a total of more than 2,100. Almost all Kmart locations are leased.
