"We're opening stores within our markets in which we currently operate," Domain public relations manager Susan Beddia tells GlobeSt.com. "We have a state-of-the-art distribution center in Edison, NJ that was expanded two years ago so we could fully service stores we have with a better capability, and with our expansion, we would be able to handle the extra work and extra storage space."

Domain expresses confidence in its plans to open more locations during an economic period that has seen a less than stellar performance in the past six months. "Since September 11, there's a real cocooning going on," Beddia says. "People are traveling less and putting more into their homes. And Columbia is really up and coming, there's a lot of building going on in the area.
