Domain Home Fashions Opens in Columbia Mall

COLUMBIA, MD-Domain Home Fashions of Norwood, MA opens a new 4,400-sf store in The Mall in Columbia. The opening is part of the company's expansion plan that would create 40 new stores across the country by 2004.

COLUMBIA, MD-Norwood, MA-based home furnishings and accessories store Domain Home Fashions has opened a 4,400-sf store in Howard County’s The Mall in Columbia, which offers 450,000-sf of leasable space. Domain’s outlet is located near Nordstrom’s 160,000-sf store. The new store is Domain’s 25th outlet and is part of the company’s two-year expansion plan to open as many as 40 more stores across the country before entering into new markets.

“We’re opening stores within our markets in which we currently operate,” Domain public relations manager Susan Beddia tells GlobeSt.com. “We have a state-of-the-art distribution center in Edison, NJ that was expanded two years ago so we could fully service stores we have with a better capability, and with our expansion, we would be able to handle the extra work and extra storage space.”
