The report was detailed in front of 100 housing and community development professionals gathered at the MORH Apartments, a 124-unit rental-housing complex developed in West Oakland for low-income families. It is one of the complexes that received substantial rehabilitation through financing from Fannie Mae.
The revitalization efforts, which began in mid-2000 thanks to the City of Oakland and Fannie Mae, are designed to help the city, local developers, banks and nonprofits finance the creation or renovation of nearly 450 units of affordable housing in West Oakland.
