The office here will be used to direct US sales and provide worldwide marketing direction. A representative of the company tells GlobeSt.com that the company intends to open additional US offices.

The new office here is part of the company' strategy to extend its market reach and make its products accessible to potential customers. The company recently completed a second round of funding. In a released statement, David Griffiths, CEO of the company says, "We recognize the value and strength of the US market. We want to ensure that eCOG1, [a microcontroller], is readily available to American developers and that developers can get the support and service they need, when they need it."

Cyan Technology was formed in 2000 as a spin-off of Cambridge Consultants Ltd.
