Three Deals, 49,000 SF, $8M in South Bay

EL SEGUNDO, CA-Three office property transaction in the South Bay have closed covering 49,000 sf of office facilities valued at $8 million in total consideration. The increased activity of tenants in the fourth quarter, along with a continued increase in aerospace contracts, has begun to counter the negative absorption that was seen here in 2001.

EL SEGUNDO, CA-Three office property transaction in the South Bay have closed covering 49,000 sf of office facilities valued at $8 million in total consideration. The increased activity of tenants in the fourth quarter, along with a continued increase in aerospace contracts, has begun to counter the negative absorption that was seen here in 2001.

The largest of the three recent deals involved a lease and expansion of 33,500-sf office space in a transaction valued at $5.5 million. The building is located at 5200 Century Blvd in Los Angeles. The tenant is Landmark Education, which offers educational forums to individuals, organizations, and institutions through 58 offices in 43 countries. Geoffrey P. Ludwig of Colliers Seeley International represented Landmark Education. The lessor, Arden Realty, was represented in-house by Arthur Suazo.
