The center is projected to bring in roughly $300 million a year in total revenue, that according to Rick Caruso, CEO of Caruso Affiliated Holdings, the owner and developer of the project. Caruso led a press tour of the facilities Tues. as construction and cleanup crews put on the finishing touches to the public marketplace and retailers hastily stocked their flagship outlets.

The Grove is bringing new retailers to Los Angeles along with well-known national brands, five restaurants and a 14-screen movie theater. Selecting the center for their "only in LA" locations are abercrombie, Bodega Chocolates, FAO Schwarz, Hawk Skate, NikeGoddess, Oliviers & Co., Pottery Barn Kids, Quicksilver Boardriders Club, The Sak Elliott Lucca and Lucy Zahran & Co., which is relocating from Rodeo Dr.

Caruso has spent $5 million alone in traffic modifications to the surrounding area, including new signals, street lighting and even the addition of a new street running through the complex called Grove Dr. Further street upgrades include the extension of Stanley Ave. from Beverly Blvd. to Third St., left turn signals at Third St. and Fairfax Ave. and new computer-operated traffic signals. In addition, a historically inspired trolley that runs on the electric power will ferry visitors between the Grove and the adjoining Farmer's Market down First Street. The center features a parking capacity of 3,500 spaces in a seven-story structure.
