OCEOLA TOWNSHIP, MI-A total of seven projects, including residential, commercial and multifamily developments, will follow the $9.8 million sewer extension project planned to begin this fall. The projects include a large residential and commercial project on Latson and M-59 called Oceola Village Center.

Township Supervisor William Bamber says the project on 110 acres will feature 800 housing units and 255,000 sf of commercial space. However, Bamber adds most residents aren’t exactly happy to know they’ll have to deal with a lot of congestion and road problems in the future.

“A large number of residents know this sewer line is going to bring headaches,” he tells GlobeSt.com. “They don’t want more people moving in. Of course, that’s how the people who lived here before they moved in felt.”
