Divided SOCRRA Halts Golf Course Construction

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI-A subcommittee takes over for the Southeastern Oakland County Resource Recovery Authority and forwards the matter to arbitration. A multifamily developer is among those expecting the $4-million golf course to be built.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI-A subcommittee of the Southeastern Oakland County Resource Recovery Authority recently voted to put a hold on all money to pay for theconstruction of a nine-hole golf course. The course is expected to cost between $3.5 million to $4.9 million.

The subcommittee voted to hold the money in escrow, and take the matter to arbitration.

A few authority officials, each assigned as a representative of the 12 cities involved in the garbage authority, don’t want to build the course.
