It currently has a portfolio of 10 open business centres in locations including central London, Aberdeen, and Washington. The existing centres range from 12,257 sf in size up to 31,452 sf and provide between 141 to 375 workstations. Established in 1995, Gainsborough currently has a turnover approaching £7.3 million ($10.3 million) and a portfolio of 178,000 sf of space.
The company's latest centre is at 151 West George Street in Glasgow, providing 30,800 sf of space and 382 workstations. It is scheduled to open by the end of March with 75% of the space pre-let to three major UK based assurance companies.
Gainsborough chief executive Simon Harding says that serviced offices are becoming more popular with occupiers. At the MIPIM property show in Cannes, France, Harding fielded an enquiry from an insurance company looking to offload management of more than 20 offices around the UK.
