The mixed-use project will consist of 150 residential units along with 20,000 sf of office and retail space. It is scheduled for completion by late spring 2003.
Denver-based Simpson Housing Limited Partnership is the developer. Denver-based GWC Contractors LP is the general contractor. San Diego-based Rodriguez & Simon Design Associates is the architect and Newport Beach-based Ritner Nelson Architects is the associate architect.
Roel Construction is serving as the general contractor for the parking garage, which is 85% complete, and construction manager for the wood-frame apartments.
Subcontractors for the project include A.O. Reed, Thyssen-Krupp, and International Iron of San Diego; Modern Masonry and Paul Hanson of El Cajon; L.M. Waterproofing & Roofing of Santee; Clark Steel of Lakeside; Gabbard Hardware of Poway; Torres General of Spring Valley; Fontana Steel of Rancho Cucamonga; and Streamline Electric of Vancouver, Wash.
