The money will also allow workers to backfill and restore the site to grade so that it can be redeveloped. The grant will be administered through the state Department of Environmental Resources' environmental response division.
"Finishing up the work on this property so that it can be redeveloped is an important part of our efforts to help Highland Park," the Highland Park Democrat says. "If we can attract a new business to this site then it may help encourage other companies to bring their business to our city.
