In Melvindale, the 234-unit Gale Gardens Apartments, located at 30 Gale Blvd., was sold for $5.3 million by the estate of the original builder, Gale Gardens Apartments LLC. It was purchased by RHP Properties, a property owner and management company based in Farmington Hills. Terms of the sale were cash to assumption of the existing mortgage, with the sellers retaining partial ownership until prepayment of the underlying debt.

PM First Street LLC, a property owner and management company in Metro Detroit, purchased the 315-unit Town Apartments complex in Detroit for an undisclosed price. The property, located at 1511 First Street, was sold by Detroit Central City Mental Health, a Detroit non-profit organization. Terms of the sale were cash to assumption of the existing first and second mortgages.

The 96-unit Pointe Gardens Apartments in Harper Woods, located at 19204 Rockcastle, was sold for $3.45 million by Blake Properties, a Grosse Pointe, MI-based real estate firm, as part of an estate settlement. The purchaser was Rockcastle LLC, a property owner and management company, headquartered in Metro Detroit. Terms of the sale were cash to a new mortgage with Republic Bank.
