Tom Keady, Development Manager for the Royal Arsenal, said: 'The proposed development will provide links from the existing town centre through the Royal Arsenal to the Thames and will provide leisure facilities with ancillary residential, creating jobs and providing vibrant modern facilities for the local community.'
The 300,000-sf development will be situated adjacent to the recently opened Royal Artillery 'Firepower' Museum, and within walking distance of the planned station for the Docklands Light Railway extension, expected to open 2007. It will contain a range of leisure facilities, including a multiplex cinema, bowling alley, health & fitness, comedy club, bars, restaurants, cafés, hotel, retail, residential and a children's nursery.
