The 10-year, fixed-rate mortgage was arranged by locally based investment banking firm Sonnenblick-Goldman Co. on behalf of landowner 330 W. 34th St. Associates, a corporation reportedly controlled by Stephen D. Haymes. The lender is a New York-based investment bank.
"The attractive terms and quick execution of this transaction are indicative of the desirability of fee land financings in Manhattan, the strong underlying credit and excellent location of the property," says Sonnenblick-Goldman managing director Mort Holliday.
The West Side property occupies a block-through parcel on West 34th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues. It is ground leased to a Vornado-controlled company and is the site of a Vornado office tower.
