Working from the local office, Thomas Murray will serve as area president, midscale operations. Joseph Yacura moves into the post of chief procurement officer for the Americas region. Wesley A. Tiner is area vice presidnet/technical services.

In Murray's new role, he will be responsible for managing the sales, marketing, financial performance and new business development of the company's properties in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Central America.

Previously, Murray served as chief operating officer of Red Lion Hotels and Inns, a former division of Hilton Hotels Corp. that included more than 40 hotel properties and more than 6,000 rooms. He also served stints at Marriott Hotels Corp. and Promus Hotels.

Yacura will oversee strategic planning, policy development, deployment and operational leadership for the supply chain and procurement functions for the Americas Region.

Previously, Yacura was a consultant and held senior management positions at IBM, Pacific Bell and American Express.

Tiner comes to Six Continents from Vision Construction & Development, a minority owned general contractor and real estate development company where he was executive vice president. He is a former corporate vice president/capital projects for Wyndham Hotels and Resorts.
