The properties had been handled by Insignia-ESG's Austin office and it didn't hurt CB Richard Ellis' pitch that it hired many Insignia-ESG employees when Insignia closed its Austin office earlier this year. Those employees include Bart Matheney, David Putman and Trish McQueen, who are responsible for leasing the buildings, and Kevin Murphy, who is responsible for managing them. The team had been working on the Maier Siebel Baber properties for the past two years.

"The recent renovations of 8303 MoPac and Centre II and the impending renovation at Great Hills Plaza combined with the strength and commitment of our owners provides us confidence that these buildings will compete well in the current market."
The Maier Siebel Baber portfolio consists of the 246,000-sf 8300 MoPac building, 135,000-sf Great Hills Plaza at 9600 Great Hills Trail in the Arboretum area and the 55,000-sf Centre II building at 3101 Bee Cave Rd. The 8303 MoPac building and Centre II have been recently renovated and the Great Hills soon will be. Maier Siebel Baber bought the MoPac building in 1999 and the other two buildings in late 2000.Maier Siebel Baber is a San Francisco-based real estate investment and advisory firm with more than $450 million assets under management in the western US.
