$7.25M Medical Center Project Breaks Ground in Orange County

NEW WINDSOR, NY-The first new construction of what is planned be a two million-sf mixed-use complex on the grounds of Stewart International Airport here broke ground on Monday.

NEW WINDSOR, NY-Orange County and New Windsor town government officials were on hand Monday for a ceremonial groundbreaking for The Medical Center of New Windsor, a 49,000-sf building that represents the first new construction project of a planned two million-sf mixed-use development called New York International Plaza.

Officials with First Columbia of Albany, the developer of New York International Plaza, noted that the 575 Hudson Valley Ave., property, when completed, will be the third building at the New Windsor site. The Medical Center of New Windsor will cost approximately $7.25 million to build. Kevin Bette, a partner at First Columbia, says that construction has already begun at the site and the building should be completed by September of this year.

The Medical Center of New Windsor is a partnership between St. Luke’s Hospital/Cornwall Hospital, Westchester Medical Center and Family Practice Centers of New Windsor, a member of the Mid-Hudson Family Health Institute. Also aligned with the venture are the Children’s Physicians of Westchester and Cardiology Consultants of Westchester. Officials with the organizations say that they plan to integrate the various services they offer in order to improve the manner in which medical care is delivered to the Orange County/Southern Dutchess area.
