The free-standing building at 730 Holcomb Bridge Rd., near Northpoint Mall, is owned by local investor Ike Perlis. Besides McDonald's, the premises was also formerly occupied by a Discovery Zone retail store.

Staubach Retail Services in Atlanta and New York represented Drexel. Trammell Crow Co. negotiated for McDonald's. The brokers declined to give GlobeSt.com the asking rent for the subleased space.

Other area brokers, however, tell GlobeSt.com sublease retail space in prime Atlanta area locations has dropped to the $12 per-sf to $15 per-sf range.
