The buyer, Kaszton Family Trust of Irvine, has paid $884,200 for the parcel. It is located at 6 Bunsen, which is in Phase 1 of Irvine Spectrum 5.
The family trust says it will build a 19,000-sf facility on the newly acquired site, which will serve as the corporate headquarters for the buyer's design and printing company. When the 6 Bunsen building is completed, the Kaszton Family Trust will move two smaller locations it has in the Irvine Spectrum into the new facility. Completion of the proposed building is slated for the first quarter of 2003.
The Kaszton Family Trust was represented by Stan Mullin and Jim Cunningham of Grubb & Ellis' Newport Beach office. Mullin and Cunningham also acted on behalf of the seller, Systems Partners LP of Laguna Hills.
