Milgard will relocate in May, occupying about 170,000 sf of the building and placing the rest on the sublease market. Although the company considered other Southern California locations, Milgard reportedly chose to stay in Simi Valley in order to accommodate its employees living in Ventura County and the San Fernando Valley. The company said it did not want to lose employees as a result of the expansion.

Established in 1958, Milgard has grown to be the largest window manufacturer in the Western United States. The building was vacated last year when Bugle Boy declared bankruptcy.
