Daisytek Warehouse Lease Valued at $15M

TEJON RANCH, CA-The 15-year deal is for half of a 650,909-sf industrial building developed by DP Partners and Tejon Industrial Corp. In three years, Tejon Ranch Co. has been able to build out 165 of the 350 acres at its Tejon Industrial Complex.

TEJON RANCH, CA-Tejon Ranch Co., the largest contiguous landowner in California, has snagged another major tenant in Daisytek International, a $1.2 billion wholesale distributor of computer and office supplies. The 15-year, 325,954-sf lease deal was reported on the Dallas Website of GlobeSt.com earlier this week, but a lease value was not immediately available. Local sources have since told GlobeSt.com the lease is worth more than $15 million.

Tejon Ranch is 270,000 acres located one hour north of Los Angeles, adjacent Interstate 5 in Kern County. According to the Kern Economic Development Corporation, IKEA, Target, Hefty and Sears all have selected Kern County for their West Coast regional distribution centers in recent years. Each of these facilities is in excess of 1 million sf.
