According to Chuck Gricus, town planner, the theater would be developed on a 50-acre parcel owned by Flagship. Gricus notes that the company will most likely develop retail outlets on the site in the future.
The proposal has been approved by the town but is being held up by a land swap that is required for the project's traffic requirements. A 2,000-sf parcel needs to be transferred to the town to become part of the town's road layout. Gricus points out that the town is "very excited" with the theater plan and the land swap approval, which will be brought up at Town Meeting within three weeks is "no big deal."
