Construction is expected to begin in May. The facility will be used by PhD and MD graduate students for biomedical engineering research.
The U.A. Whitaker Biomedical Engineering Building is the third property to rise at Georgia Tech's Bioscience, Environmental and Materials complex.
Archer Western Contractors, a subsidiary of Chicago-based Walsh Group, is the project's general contractor. St. Louis-based HOK is the lead architect.
