AUSTIN-The amount of vacant sublease space in Austin continued to grow as the 2022 first quarter closed. The total reached 3.784 million sf with another 158,000 sf coming to market just since March 15, according to the Buls-Hodge Report. For the quarter, open sublease space increased 16%.

Added to the sublease rolls were 40,000 sf at Barton Skyway IV and 54,000 sf at Wild Basin, both in the southwest submarket; 47,000 sf at Stonecreek II in the north submarket; and 40,000 sf at River Place Point in the far northwest submarket. Brokers reported leasing almost 56,000 sf in the last two weeks.
