The Crossroads Redevelopment Project would help revitalize some of east San Diego's aging neighborhoods and commercial areas. The project is divided into redevelopment sub-areas covering about 898 acres.
Sub-area A consists of commercial sections along El Cajon Boulevard and University Avenue, from 54th Street to the La Mesa boundary.Sub-area B includes the Chollas Reservoir and the Chollas Lake Park Recreation Center. It is bounded roughly by Redwood and Thorn Streets to the north, Martin Luther King Jr. Freeway to the east and south and 54th Street to the west.
Sub-area C includes portions of the Fox Canyon residential neighborhood south of University Avenue between Euclid Avenue and 54th Street.Sub-area D is the residential area along Streamview Drive from 54th Street on the west and College Avenue on the east.
