GlobeSt.com UPDATE: Vestas Looking for Temporary Home

PORTLAND-Local sources say the Denmark-based wind-power turbine manufacturer is looking for between 50,000 sf and 60,000 sf of office space while it builds its North American headquarters here.

PORTLAND-One of the world’s largest wind turbine makers is scouring the Portland area for temporary office space for a year or so while it develops its North American Headquarters here.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the company has declined comment on whether the firm was coming to Portland, but local sources have confirmed the firm’s interest in building a large manufacturing facility and a recent posting on the company’s Web site told prospective employees about a quality manager position that required candidates relocate to the Portland area this summer.
