The move is expected to be completed later this month. The Washington Group is taking most of the space vacated by the Invesco mutual fund family, which built its own headquarters building on the west side of the DTC.
The DTC operation will serve as one of two national operations center. The other is in Princeton, NJ The centers will provide engineering, marketing, construction, procurement and other support services for the company's worldwide operations in power, infrastructure, mining, energy, environmental, defense and industrial/process.
The company has more than 35,000 employees in more than 40 countries.
Also, the company will be moving its headquarters staff of Washington Mining to Denver from Boise, ID.
Washington Mining is a mine-services organization that operates mines on a contract basis in Montana, Idaho, Venezuela and Germany and holds equity interests in coal mines in Montana and Germany.
