Hometown Buffet Restaurant is part of Buffets Inc., which touts itself as the nation's 13th largest restaurant chain. As of January 1, 2001, Buffets Inc. and its affiliated companies operated more than 350 restaurants in 37 states. Aside from Hometown Buffet, the company's eateries include Old Country Buffet, Granny's Buffet and Country Roadhouse Buffet. Eagan, MN-based Buffets Inc. and its subsidiaries also operate two different steakhouse restaurants, Original Roadhouse Grill and Tahoe Joe's.
