LOS ANGELES-Qantas Airways has relocated its headquarters for the Americas/Pacific region and signed a seven-year lease agreement for 12,000 sf of office space at 6080 Center Dr., within Howard Hughes Center. The transaction is valued at $3 million.

The firm will relocate from 841 Apollo Ave., in the City of El Segundo, CA, upon commencement of the lease in June 2002.

According to Qantas Airlines, this move allowed the company to upgrade to a new, institutional-quality office building in close proximity to Los Angeles International Airport and its existing employee base. Qantas Airlines was formed in 1920 and employs over 30,000 staff across a network spanning 138 destinations.

David Kluth, corporate managing director and Brian Fennelly, assistant director in Studley's Downtown Los Angeles office, represented the tenant. The landlord, Arden Realty, was represented by John Ayoob of CB Richard Ellis.
