Real Estate Executives & Journalists Prepare for NYC Conference

NEW YORK CITY-More than 100 real estate journalists from around the nation will converge on New York City when the National Association of Real Estate Editors holds its 36th annual convention. Ready to greet them are some of the biggest names in the real estate industry.

NEW YORK CITY-Real estate journalists from around the nation are set to witness New York City in the aftermath of Sept. 11 as the National Association of Real Estate Editors converges on Manhattan for its 36th annual convention. The conference, which is being held at the Waldorf-Astoria June 9-12, is being co-chaired by Bloomberg real estate reporter Robert Burgess and by Michael Desiato, editor-in-chief of Real Estate Media Inc. Real Estate Media is the parent organization of GlobeSt.com.

A Who’s-Who roster of real estate executives will flesh out the conference’s intensive seminar schedule, covering a range of topics. Included in the roster of speakers are John Zuccotti of Brookfield Properties, Robert Selsam of Boston Properties, Tom Corcoran of FelCor Lodging. A panel of city and state officials is also planned, along with private developers who are shaping the future of lower Manhattan in the wake of Sept. 11.

Also on tap are a parade of industry newsmakers such as Donald Trump, National Association of Realtors president Martin Edwards, Freddie Mac CEO Leland Brendsel, Harvard University’s Nicolas Retsinas, and many more.
