AIA Training Architects to Better Service Developers

SACRAMENTO-The California chapter of the American Institute of Architects launches a new certification program that focuses on all aspects of the development process, including strategic vision, program development, real estate, funding, design and construction.

SACRAMENTO-The California chapter of the American Institute of Architects has launched a new certificate program designed for AIA architects to better service developers. The program focuses on all aspects of the development process, including strategic vision, program development, real estate, funding, design and construction.

The program is in response to a growing trend in the real estate marketplace of requesting services above and beyond traditional design services in the development process. The design market is shifting to a big picture focus, say AIA officials, and the industry should better prepare its architects to address and respond to clients needs that cover the full range of development skills.
