According to a press release issued by Cousins, Murphy has left the company to pursue other interests. He has been on board since 1988, during which time he led the firm's office development and leasing efforts in Atlanta.
Murphy's replacement will be Tad Leithead, who began his career as a leasing agent with Trammell Crow Co. He was responsible for leasing over three million sf of office product, including the corporate headquarters of RJR Nabisco. In addition, he was a founding partner in Childress Klein Properties, a Crow spinoff company.
Prior to that, Leithead was a development and transportation consultant. He will report to Craig Jones, president of the office division.
Walter Fish has been elevated to the post of vice president, director of leasing. He will be responsible for leasing Cousin's office projects in Atlanta. Fish, a 10-year veteran of the firm, will report to Leithead
