$27.7M Apartment Complex Under Way in Midtown West

ATLANTA-Locally based Wood Partners and an unnamed institutional investor have formed a joint venture partnership to develop 265 loft-style residential units in this submarket. Alta West will offer 80% of the units at market-rate rent and the remaining 20% will be set aside as affordable housing.

ATLANTA-Construction on a $27.7-million loft-style apartment project is under way. Alta West, which is being developed by locally based Wood Partners and an institutional investor of Boston-based AEW Capital Management, will include 265-loft-style residences in the Midtown West submarket.

In all, the complex will have four six-story buildings, with the apartments to be constructed above 10,000 SF of retail space. It will also include parking facilities for 345 cars. Eighty percent of the units will be rented at market rate; the balance at lower affordable housing rates.

There will be 169 one-bedroom units averaging 800 sf and 96 two-bedroom units averaging 1,230 sf.
