Located off I-270 Irvington Centre is the commercial heart of the planned work-live-play community of King Farm. The business park already has 500,000 sf of office space and is capable of accommodating 3 million sf overall. "Obviously we're thrilled to have UnitedHealthcare as a tenant and we think they'll find all the advantages at Irvington Centre to their liking," the Penrose Group's Gary Edell tells Globe St.com.
Penrose represented building owner Three Irvington Center Associates in the deal, while CRESA Partners stood in for the tenant. United will consolidate its current Bethesda, MD-based office spaces, which account for 50,000 sf, and are located at 7200 Wisconsin Avenue and 4733 Bethesda Avenue.
