State Senator Steve Peace, County Supervisor Ron Roberts and SANDAG Executive Director Gary Gallegos will each present their visions for improved regional governance. Panel presentations will follow and include County Supervisors Bill Horn and Pam Slater, Escondido Mayor Lori Holt Pfeiler, Oceanside Mayor Terry Johnson, Carlsbad Chamber Chairman Gary Hill and Building Industry Association Staff Counsel Jerry Livingston.

Growth-related issues like traffic and housing cost have been a major factor in whether companies decide to expand within San Diego County or relocate here from out of the area. Such decisions are paramount for commercial brokers, developers and investors making decisions on projects and transactions.

"We are organizing the summit to provide a forum for businesses, government officials, and residents to discuss government frameworks for better confronting San Diego County's traffic, housing and environmental problems. At stake is the future growth management of our region and how a regional 'super-agency' will impact it,'' says Lynn Stuart, president and CEO of the North County Economic Development Council.
