Greenwich Capital is a major primary dealer in U.S government securities, and a recognized leader in the sales and trading of Agency and asset-backed securities, as well as in the consumer finance and commercial mortgage securitization markets. The firm also provides futures brokerage services and research to institutional clients.

Greenwich Capital has already built a foothold in the market under Gary Swon's direction in the Irvine office. The firm is committed to the Irvine business, but now wants to broaden our products and expand it relationships.

Previously, Mr. Brandt spent three years as a partner with Menlo Equities in Los Angeles where he was responsible for asset management, underwriting and transaction management. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director with Nomura Asset Capital Corporation also in Los Angeles, and was an original member of Nomura Asset Capital Corporation based in New York where he oversaw the origination and structuring of over $6.5 billion in commercial real estate. Mr. Brandt, 39, holds a B.S. in Political Science from Stanford University, and an M.S. in Real Estate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
