555 City Center is adding an additional 487,000-sf of office and retail space to Shorenstein's holdings in Oakland City Center. The building occupies a full block bounded by 11th, 12th, Clay and Jefferson Streets and contains 19,000-sf of retail space.

Shorenstein representatives John Dolby and Chris Curtis are directing the tour along with architect Ted Korth of Korth Sunseri Hagey Architects and William Claggett, executive director of the City of Oakland's Community and Economic Development Agency.

"555 City Center is one of our most exciting projects nationwide," says Shorenstein Director of Investment Management Jim Christian. "It is the new-millennium pioneer for development in Oakland, and has paved the way for other initiatives in retail, hotel, office and housing. The project offers Bay Area businesses class A space that is cost-effective as compared to other Bay Area options, and offers an attractive work force profile because of convenience and access to BART and major freeways."
