A local representative of the company confirmed the closing but would not say why the company closed these locations. The company recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Calls to the company's New York and Dallas offices were not returned by presstime.
HQ Global leases office space and then subleases that space to companies that need short-term or flexible office solutions. The space can come equipped with phone lines, furniture, office staff and other corporate amenities. According to its Web site, the company has 448 locations throughout the world.
The firm has another location in Waltham as well as six locations in Boston, two in Cambridge, two in Burlington one in Wellesley and one in Woburn. Its corporate headquarters are in New York City.
