Weatheralls forecasts that supply is likely to increase further throughout the year, as around two million sf of office space remains under construction and due for completion during the next 12 months.
Atis Real Weatheralls Director Mark England said: 'The downturn in the South East office market is by no means over but we are starting to see signs of a recovery. Occupiers are still seeking to sub-let surplus space and new developments are coming on stream to push up supply, but the increase in take-up shows that the market is coming back to life.'
