Two Large Leases Signed for One Gateway Exchange

COLUMBIA, MD-One Gateway Exchange, the 122,889-sf structure in Corporate Office Properties Trust’s (COPT) 14-structure parcel at the 584-acre Columbia Gateway office park, has landed two new leases totaling 71,243-sf. A local health care provider will take on nearly 50,000 sf, and a national financial services firm will move into a 21,305-sf space. COPT is not releasing the terms of the lease, or the specific names of the new tenants.

A five-story brick-and-glass complex, One Gateway opened in November and sat vacant for a few months, until COPT fulfilled its goal of having the building half leased before April. “With these two lease signings, we have secured two highly respected companies as the lead tenants for One Gateway Exchange,” COPT president and COO Randall M. Griffin says of the deals. “These tenants reflect the quality of the building and demonstrate that the Howard County office market is rapidly moving towards recovery with increased leasing activity.”
