The mall is anchored by such tenants as Shaw's, CVS, and Flagship Cinemas and is located near Route 140 and Interstate 195. Robert A. Tito, senior vice president at NAI Hunneman Commercial, represented the seller and procured the buyer. In a released statement, Tito points out that the mall is one the area's "prime retail outlets" and is accessible from anywhere in the Buzzards Bay region. This city is about 55 miles south of Boston.
Retail property seems to be the only real estate sector in this area holding its own in the current economic downturn. At a recent National Association of Industrial and Office Properties seminar, William Beckeman of Finard & Company, indicated that retail vacancies have remained relatively constant despite the economic situation.
