WP Realty Acquires 188,946-SF Retail Center

NEW BEDFORD, MA-WP Realty purchases Fieldstone Marketplace, a 188,946-sf retail center at 950 Kings Highway for $15.7 million from Columbus-based Nationwide Insurance Co. The local retail market has remained relatively stable despite the recent recession.

NEW BEDFORD, MA-WP Realty purchased Fieldstone Marketplace, a 188,946-sf retail center at 950 Kings Highway for $15.7 million. The Wynnewood, PA-based company acquired the center from Columbus-based Nationwide Insurance Co.

The mall is anchored by such tenants as Shaw’s, CVS, and Flagship Cinemas and is located near Route 140 and Interstate 195. Robert A. Tito, senior vice president at NAI Hunneman Commercial, represented the seller and procured the buyer. In a released statement, Tito points out that the mall is one the area’s “prime retail outlets” and is accessible from anywhere in the Buzzards Bay region. This city is about 55 miles south of Boston.
